Short-Term Parking
When you arrive on campus, navigate to your residence's short-term parking zone to unload your vehicle. You and your family will be permitted to park in short-term parking for one hour (in most cases), then will be asked relocate your vehicle to long-term parking. Please display your Arrival Parking Pass on your dashboard.
The Amos Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is in the Soldiers and Sailors Parking Garage located at 4390 Bigelow Boulevard.
The Bouquet Gardens short-term parking and unloading zone is in the parking lot at the corner of Sennott Street and Oakland Avenue next to the parking garage.
The Brackenridge Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is in the Soldiers and Sailors Parking Garage located at 4390 Bigelow Boulevard.
The Bridge On Forbes short-term parking and unloading zone is the Bridge on Forbes garage at 3423 Forbes Ave.
The Bruce Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is in the Soldiers and Sailors Parking Garage located at 4390 Bigelow Boulevard.
The Centre Plaza short-term and unloading zone is located in the lobby level of the parking garage at 5032 Centre Avenue. Also, there are 10 designated parking spaces directly in front of the building.
Please avoid parking in the following areas:
- Opposite Side of the Parking Lot Facing Amberson Apartments: Parking here will result in immediate towing.
- Lower Parking Area: This area is also off-limits and vehicles parked here will be towed almost immediately.
The Forbes Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is in Euler Way directly behind Forbes Hall.
The Forbes-Craig Apartments short-term parking and unloading zone is the Forbes Craig Parking Garage.
The Fraternity Complex short-term parking and unloading zone is the U Lot behind Sutherland Hall.
The Holland Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is in the Soldiers and Sailors Parking Garage located at 4390 Bigelow Boulevard.
The Irvis Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is the U Lot behind Sutherland Hall.
The Towers A & B short-term parking and unloading zone is the Towers Garage which is accessible via Forbes Avenue.
The Tower C short-term parking and unloading zone is in the BQ Lot on the corner of Fifth Avenue and South Bouquet Street.
Due to construction at UPMC’s Presbyterian Hospital (located next door), we’ve arranged for free parking at UPMC’s Victoria Garage, which is directly across from Lothrop. To ensure a smooth Arrival, parking is available ONLY on Sunday, Aug. 18 and Saturday, Aug. 24.
- You will not be required to move your vehicle to a long-term parking lot.
- The garage height restriction is 6' 6".
- Vehicles that exceed the garage height restriction will be directed to park in an alternative location by Arrival staff or Pitt Police.
A limited amount of metered space will be available on Lothrop Street during the week.
The McCormick Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is in the Soldiers and Sailors Parking Garage located at 4390 Bigelow Boulevard.
The Nordenberg Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is on University Place beside Nordenberg Hall at 111 University Place.
The Oakwood Apartments short-term parking and unloading zone is in the parking lot at the corner of Sennott Street and Oakland Avenue next to the parking garage.
The Panther Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is the U Lot behind Sutherland Hall.
The Ruskin Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is on Ruskin Avenue in front of Ruskin Hall.
The Strand short-term parking and unloading zone is on 3609 Forbes Ave in front of the Strand.
The Sutherland Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is the U Lot behind Sutherland Hall.
University Hall short-term parking and unloading zone is in the University Club parking lot in front of the building.
Long-Term Parking
There are three long-term parking locations on campus, and all three will let you park for free the day of your arrival. When you have finished unloading at your residence hall, move your car to long-term parking. Be sure to hang onto your Arrival Parking Pass! Keep your parking pass on your dashboard to stay in long-term parking all day.
Soldiers and Sailors Parking Garage
- Address: 4101 Fifth Avenue
- Clearance Height: 6’4”
- Directions to Soldiers and Sailors Parking Garage
From Forbes Avenue, take a left onto Bellefield Avenue, then take a left onto Fifth Avenue. Take a right onto Bigelow Boulevard, and the Soldiers and Sailors Garage will be on your left.
Posvar Parking Garage
- Address: 122 Roberto Clemente Drive
- Clearance Height: 6’4”
- Directions to Posvar Parking Garage
From Forbes, take a right onto South Bouquet Street. Then, take a left onto Roberto Clemente Drive. The garage will be on your left.
OC Lot
- Address: 3505 Allequippa Street
- Clearance Height: 7’
- Directions to OC Lot
From Fifth Avenue, take a right onto Darragh Street. At the top of the hill, take another right onto Allequippa Street. Follow the signs, the lot will be to the left.
Directions to Upper Campus
- Head southeast on I-376 E
- Keep right to stay on I-376 E
- Take exit 72A to merge onto Forbes Avenue toward Oakland
- Turn left onto South Craig Street
- Turn left onto Centre Avenue
- Turn left onto Allequippa Street
- Turn right onto University Drive C
- Arrive at 3805 University Drive C
- Take the exit toward I-376 W/US-22 W
- Keep left, following signs for US-22/Pittsburgh
- Continue onto I-376 W/US-22 W
- Take exit 73B to merge onto Bates St
- At the light, continue straight to stay on Bates St
- Turn Left onto S Bouquet St
- Turn Right onto Roberto Clemente Dr
- Turn Left onto Schenley Dr
- Turn Right onto Forbes Ave
- Turn Left onto S Craig St
- Turn Left onto Centre Ave
- Turn Left onto Allequippa St
- Turn Right onto University Dr C
- Arrive at 3805 University Drive C
- Take the Veterans Bridge exit toward Monroeville (I-579 S/I-376 E)
- Continue onto I-579 S
- Take the 7th Avenue exit toward 6th Ave/Downtown
- Keep left, following signs for PPG Arena/6th Avenue and merge onto Bigelow Blvd
- Make a slight left to stay on Bigelow Blvd
- Turn left to stay on Bigelow Blvd
- Continue Straight to stay on Bigelow Blvd
- Continue Straight to stay on Bigelow Blvd
- Turn right onto Herron Ave
- Turn left onto Centre Ave
- Sharp right onto Allequippa St
- Turn right onto University Dr C
- Arrive at 3805 University Drive C
- Head northeast on I-79 N
- Take exit 59A to merge onto I-376 E toward Pittsburgh
- Keep right to stay on I-376 E
- Take exit 72A to merge onto Forbes Avenue toward Oakland
- Turn left onto South Craig Street
- Turn left onto Centre Avenue
